The Gear Aid Seam Grip WP Field Repair Kit puts the essentials in one compact package so you are ready to handle rips, tears, and leaks wherever the trip takes you, from a backcountry portage route to a lakeside campsite.

At the core of the kit is Seam Grip WP, a thermoset urethane adhesive and seam sealer that bonds permanently to nylon, polyester, vinyl, canvas, and leather. It is waterproof, abrasion-resistant, and flexible once cured, making it equally useful for sealing tent seams, patching air mattresses, and repairing sleeping pads. The included applicator brush gives you control over placement, which matters when you are working along a seam or around a small puncture. Cure time runs 8 to 12 hours, so this one is best applied at camp the night before you need the gear again.

Two Tenacious Tape patches round out the kit, one clear PVC and one black nylon, for peel-and-stick repairs that hold immediately without waiting for a full cure. Together, the adhesive and patches cover most of the damage that branches, rocks, and rough handling can do to a kit. Store the sealant in a freezer between uses to extend its shelf life.
